Christine Andrews

Infant Team Lead

My name is Christine Andrews and I am the infant team leader.

I have been at Heart of the family for over 2 years. I have been an early childhood educator since 1997. I am a mom of 2 boys and was fortunate to spend 8 years home with them. This position allows me to put the same care and attention into the infants I care for each day. I love watching children explore new things and learn while doing so. I am dedicated to teaching your child and giving them the security of a home away from home.

Heart of the family Childcare Centre provides a warm, loving environment that promotes the health and well-being of all children.

It all starts in our two beautiful infant rooms. We provide an enriched environment in which the child can grow in all areas of development. Throughout the day, our infants learn through play. They are offered toys and activities that encourage them to learn while having fun.

Our infant classrooms are run with a ratio of 1 staff to 3 children. We have a wonderful, loving team of educators who strive to lead the infant team with excellence and ensure that our infants are all getting ample opportunities to develop to their full potential.

Our goal is to help your child on a number of skills throughout the time they are with us. We will do a lot of practicing when it comes to tummy time, rolling over, sitting up, piling up, and–eventually–walking.

We also will practice with fine motor skills, many of our daily activities will be based on infants interests, skills, and their abilities.

Throughout the day we will sing songs, read books, and guide your child through the art of play.

We implement and document “how does learning happen” and document invidious progress in each child’s own developmental file.

Watching your child grow and develop is a privilege and an honour. We look forward to getting to know you and your child in the infant room.
